Questions and Answers
Can i Host my own website?
Sure you can. However you need considerable experience in web site development and maintenance.Technologies are always changing and updating. You will also need a powerful high speed computer (usually very expensive) called a dedicated server that is on all the time (24/7) with a live high speed connection to the internet along with expensive specialized webhosting software such as live c-panel to upload and modify your pages or people wont be able to access your website. There are considerable costs associated with maintenance of websites. Cirrusmultimedia is able to relieve you of all that financial burden and the need for specialists experience, we are able to offer this service to you at such a small cost because we host several websites on one server (Shared Hosting), therefore the server is shared among several companies and each of them bears part of the cost, plus our experts work around the clock to maintain your site so you can sleep easy.
What is Web Hosting
Web hosting (Web site hosting) is the business of housing, serving, and maintaining files for one or more Web sites on the internet or an Intranet ( An internal Network). The World Wide Web is a massive collection of web sites, all hosted on computers (called web servers) all over the world. The web server (computer) where your web site's html files (or other files), graphics, etc. reside is known as the web host or web server. Web hosting clients simply upload their web sites to a shared (or dedicated) webserver, to ensure a constant, fast connection to the Internet. It is a way of providing space on Internet servers for the storage of World Wide Web sites which can be accessed by others through the Internet from anywhere in the world. This service is usually offered by web hosting specialists such as Cirrusmultimedia. Your business is therefore accessible to the entire world.
What is a domain name, how can I get one?
A domain name is the unique "web address" or URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of a particular Web site. For example, www.yourwebsite.com or www.cirrusmultimedia.com is the domain name of this Internet website address. There is a central clearing house for domain names where web hosting companies such as cirrusmultimedia must clear the names we wish to register, an organization called InterNIC and a few others like it register domain names and keep other people from registering the same name. In fact there maybe a different clearing house for every domain name suffix or extension (the extension is the letters after the last dot in a URL) for example, .com, .org, .net, .gy. To get a domain name all you have to do is tell us what is the name you would like to use and we log into the clearing house's database to see if the name has been taken already, once its available we register it for you and you can start using it to promote your business right away. You can also navigate to our check domain availablity page to check the availabiliyt of a domai name
Whats the difference between web hosting and website designing
Hosting is the same as providing space (disk space and bandwidth) where your webpage and URL will be housed (stored), that's all. You will need to design and upload your site to the server for persons browsing the internet to be able to access it and view it online whereas to design a page there are several options: You can design it yourself or hire a designer to do it for you. You can also contact us at cirrusmultimedia to professionally design your site from the ground up to give you that look and feel that is uniquely yours.

e-Quotes

Demand punishment for the truly guilty, especially their leaders. Please realize, however, that many of our military people have taken the Iraqis into their hearts, doing all possible to try to alleviate their suffering. They are troubled when they come home at the death and injury to the innocent that they have witnessed. The war is not the fault of those at whose feet we lay it. Welcome them back, and encourage them in their readjustment. Don't give them an empty thanks for their service and walk away; demand from your government that their medical and psychological needs be met.
